Natalia Pieczuro - teaching through sharing

Everything happens through the prism of the FM (Fighting Monkey) Practice.

Through open and closed workshops, group and individual classes, reheat events, as well as the FM mentorship.

We embrace such fundamental questions as: what does it mean to love life and how can we nourish this idea?

From children to dancers, actors, specific target groups, the Practice is open to anyone who is interested in trying, questioning and challenging. This is for anyone who is willing to try.

FM (Fighting Monkey) is a physical practice that combines - among other things - motor skills, locomotion, coordination and understanding of our unique bilogical constitution. It embraces both individual and group work. In theory it is strongly based on evolution and in practice it presents itself in different forms, often playful, games and never-ending challenges. It is for all who love life.

The pinciples and ideas of FM have been developed over the last 20 years of FM research. There are no restrictions or prerequisites, in terms of former experience and background. Groups usually consist of people from various fields and levels of skills but anyone can easily find their place to work and explore - anyone interested in human evolution.

What do biological systems need to do to stay alive, reduce uncertainty and thrive in the dynamic world we live in?

How can we cultivate a variety of flexible behaviors to cope with the dynamic environments we meet and need to interact with?

We will working with Zero Forms and “Movement Situations”.

Zero Forms are practices - precision tools - to maintain, nourish and expand the territory of ourselves. Through them we explore stillness, joint’s articulation, coordination and voice.

Movement Situations are an amazing variety of creative games to simulate life, create words that didn’t exist before, imagine possible futures, scenarios and so to develop strategies for increasing our "informational reservoir." They are irregular training methods to provoke and increase the adaptive value of your behavioral traits and strategic planning.

In Movement Situations we work on complex and most of the time improvised structures to improve movement qualities and increase creative variability. We will help you understand the underlying principles of the human bauplan and its motion and how stress and pressure affect our perception, behavior and actions and how creatively adaptive you are in complex situations.

We foster improvisation, imagination and creativity; vital to problem solving and thus vital to adaptability, longevity and sustainability.
We play games.
Expose ourselves to difficulties.
Communicate.
Learn and learn again.
Reminding ourselvse of who we are.

How does it happen?

Open Workshops

An open workshop serves as a basic platform for the Fighting Monkey Practice: it’s an overall introduction to the qualities and ideas that have been developed over the last 15 years of F.M. research. There are no restrictions or prerequisites, in terms of former experience and background. Groups usually consist of people from various fields and levels of skills but anyone can easily find their place to work and explore - anyone interested in human evolution.

You will experience mainly “movement situations” - irregular training methods to provoke and increase the adaptive value of your behavioral traits and strategic planning. We will work on complex and most of the time improvised structures to improve your movement qualities and increase your creative variability. We will help you to understand the underlying principles of human motion and how stress and pressure affects our perception, behavior and actions and how creatively adaptive you are in complex situations. Foster improvisation, imagination and creativity.

The above are vital to problem solving. Which is vital to adaptability, longevity and sustainability.
Play games.
Expose yourself to difficulties.

We will concentrate on strengthening and elaborating your partnering skills - other words speaking: your « communication skills ». Working with the partner will bring us the alive and so precious irregularity in the training; will influence our behavior, the diversity of qualities, tempo and rhythm of our movement.

Through partnering work - “movement situations”, coordinations, work with tools, injury prevention and body conditioning and « being », we will work on strengthening the focus, the awareness and the whole system.

We will break the patterns, learn new patterns and try to find our wings.
We will question how can one learn as much as he can and want?
How can one be open to the "new" and still be well rooted?

Closed Workshops

Closed workshops happen on demand in various contexts.
I collaborate with dance, theater or circus companies - to assist them in their research. We speculate how with FM Practice we can find novel connections, surprising solutions, inspiration for what ever is the theme of their research.
Closed workshops happen also in context of sports team, PR, marketing etc.
If interested - contact me for further information.

Group Classes

At the moment regular classes are taking place in Nyon. More information here.

Individual classes

Individual classes happen on demand. They can be 1 -2h long and contain different aspects of the Practice. If interested contact me directly to speculate about options and needs (frequency, duration, thematic, location etc).

Reheat Events

In a world where society's restless rhythm reshapes us, there's a way to reclaim our mental agility and reconnect with our senses.

Reheat weekends, born in 2016, are built on the belief that our mental structures are reflected in the way we move and on friendship between me and Olivier Goetgeluck. The reheat weekends are a creative collaboration and inspirational journey.

Through embodied play, we can expand our minds and move deeply away from daily stresses and personal history, immersing in exploration and self-discovery. A little play can go a long way.
Do you currently find it difficult to feel inner calm?
Do you feel disconnected from your body and boundaries?
Experiencing re-occuring tension in specific places in your body?
Are you low in energy and not feeling very creative?

Navigating these common obstacles is what we practice at Reheats.

Expect a dynamic, safe space in a group of maximally 20 people that will reheat your connection with yourself and clean you physically, emotionally & mentally.

Book a spot on the next reheat here.
